More About Us
“The Nature Cleanse” is a wellness experience that allows you to heal your body and mind and face yourself in the nature. THE SCENE offers a variety of experiences to enjoy nature with your five senses, including yoga, meditation, cruise tours, and marine activities such as snorkeling and SUP.
This concept was inspired by the experience of a guest who actually tears after yoga and said, “Tears naturally welled up in my eyes.” We provide a place to slowly unwind your mind exhausted from busy daily life.
In addition, through exercises such as stretching and walks on the beach, participants experience a sense of being one with nature. During the retreat, it is a time to regain your individuality and sensitivity by simply facing yourself and nature without worrying about others.
Environment
Located at the southernmost tip of Amami-Oshima Island, THE SCENE is surrounded by rich nature, which is also known as the “Galapagos of the East” and is registered as a World Natural Heritage site. The subtropical evergreen forests and dense mangrove forests, home to many rare species of flora and fauna, provide a mystical healing experience for visitors. We have lush with adam trees, white sand beaches, and clear waters where sea turtles swim. On the other side of the island is Kakeroma Island, known as “God’s Island,” offering a spectacular view of this unexplored region.

The quiet location, the open-air bath outside the hotel, the delicious food, and the wonderful customer service were all good. Everything was more than I expected, the facilities, the service, the staff, the food, the environment, and etc. This time, I joined a boat tour, enjoyed the hot spring bathing, did yoga, slept on the beach, relaxed in a hammock, and had delicious meals. I think this is a place where you can go either alone, with friends, family, partner, or anyone else and feel the most satisfied! Overall, my mind was purified!
