Located approximately 50 minutes from Matsuyama Airport and 35 minutes from JR Matsuyama Station, we rest atop a scenic hillside overlooking the Seto Inland Sea in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. Designed and architected by Tadao Ando, this former museum has been reborn as a seven-suite retreat. Our elevated position offers sweeping views of the Setouchi waters, with spaces including an infinity pool, private pools, onsen jacuzzi, and art lounge—creating a retreat where tranquility and refinement resonate in perfect harmony.

Extraordinary architecture, excellent service and good food. The in-room onsen has flat bed which is very relaxing I could stay there for a whole day. The hotel only has 7 rooms, very quiet and peaceful.

Here, we once again experience the “art of hospitality”! Master Ando’s design brings the beauty of nature…the full moon outside the floor-to-ceiling windows at dinner, the rainbow that appears when the morning mist meets the sunlight outside the floor-to-ceiling windows at breakfast…right before the guests’ eyes! Such delicate and heartfelt attention to detail—we have witnessed it! The quality of the meals is excellent!
