About Us
Located in Torikaiura, a quiet fishing village on Awaji Island surrounded by onion fields and the sea, TORIKKA STAY stands on the tranquil shoreline of Shingoshikihama Beach. It is the island’s only accommodation situated directly on the beach. The moment you step outside, the ocean is just seconds away.
Our vision is to offer a place where guests can reconnect with nature, find balance, and return to a calmer, more grounded state of mind.
Inside, the villa features a spacious living area with a striking vaulted ceiling, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere. A large island kitchen and dining table provide the perfect setting for shared meals and culinary workshops. On the terrace, a wood-fired sauna overlooking the ocean offers a deeply relaxing experience, allowing guests to unwind while taking in the soothing coastal scenery.
Unlike many vacation rentals, TORIKKA STAY also provides on-site support. During the day, our staff are available in the first-floor office to assist organizers and ensure that every detail of your retreat runs smoothly. We are committed to helping you bring your ideal retreat program to life.
Environment
Awaji Island, where this property is located, is described in Japan’s oldest chronicles — the Nihon Shoki and Kojiki — as the first land created by the gods. Nearby stands Izanagi Shrine, and the memory of ancient times still breathes through this singular place. On its western shore lies Torikaiura, where TORIKKA STAY sits along Shin-Goshikihama, a beach adorned with smooth, colorful stones in five beautiful hues.
