We serve dinner and breakfast with seasonal ingredients prepared with a lot of care and time by the mother of our chief monk. The sacred and magical atmosphere will invite you to take time and look yourself back and recharge your body and spirit. The morning prayer held in the main hall of the head temple of Nichiren sekt “Kuon-ji” is definitely participating!

Founded in 1364 by Hinaga Shonin, Matsui-bo is a temple lodging where you can experience a retreat under the protection of Hokushin Myoken Daibosatsu. The temple’s unique location allows you to witness the North Star shining directly above it, while the majestic pines along the temple path warmly welcome you. Stay in a serene Japanese-style room with a private bath and toilet, overlooking a tranquil courtyard. Environment
Matsui-bo is located deep in the mountains of Yamanashi. If coming by car, take the Chuo Expressway or Tomei route to Minobu. By train, get off at JR Minobu Station and take the Yamanashi Kotsu bus bound for Mt. Minobu, then walk or take a taxi from the final stop. Free parking for up to 10 regular cars is available in front of the temple.
