Reviews

Great place, super quiet, good traditional (vegan/vegetarian) breakfast. It felt super relaxing after the crammed hotels in Tokyo. They even have a little Sento.

FF

Great value for the price and edifying cultural experience. Rooms are generously equipped and comfortable with amenities like tea, toiletries, robes for the hot public bath. BUT, If you attend the wintertime (Dec-Feb) morning buddhist ceremonies – DRESS WARMLY! It can get VERY cold in the temples and no shoes are allowed! I had to put my gloves on my feet after a while.
